THE BLACK CAT

“I stroked his back, soft deepest black… I stroked him, caressed him, he yielded, indulged me, purred loudly and followed me home...”

His wife might be dead, and unceremoniously walled up in the basement, but the crime isn’t the fault of our unnamed confessor. No, it was the cat… it was all the scheming machinations of the menacingly malevolent, one-eyed, black cat.

This one-man musical is dark and harrowing exploration of Edgar Allan Poe’s classic short story.
