MURDER IN THE RED BARN

“But there’s nothing I like better, that so utterly delights, than ravaging and ruining some innocent maiden, and I’ve got a new girl in my sights!”

Murder in the Red Barn is a musical melodrama chock full of devious villains, helpless maidens, bumbling peasants, perturbed fathers, mystic mothers, scheming gypsies and avenging ghosts.

The sweet and innocent Maria Marten meets the dastardly squire’s son William Corder and the Polestead Cherry Festival Dance, and falls victim first to his passion, and then to his violence.

This musical is based on a true story, but not so that any would notice…
